@StevenMcinerney I work in Early Years... the parents find it so much harder than the children do - naturally. Socially, emotionally and developmentally it is a great thing for the child, so do try and think of the bigger picture long term. But it will be hard for you and Nicola mate lol

The little one is off to nursery when he turns one in a few months. Not gonna lie, it's scary as he feels so tiny, but ya know - both of us have jobs. Who else sent theirs at a similar age and how did it go? 🥲

@StevenMcinerney I'm an Early Years (Nursery) teacher... I'm very lucky with the discount I get but it's staggeringly high for everyone else! From next year the GOV are giving all 2 year olds 30 hours free.. I know that doesn't help you but it's one for the future I wish you the best of luck!

Just looking into nursery costs for the little fella. Even four days a week, for only half a day, would cost more than our mortgage currently does for the month. Absolutely bat shit mental that that is normal.
