The NBA has informed teams that the league is projecting a $165 million salary cap for 2026-27 -- $1M lower than previous outlooks due to a reduction in local media revenue, sources tell ESPN. Minimum salary $149M, tax level $201M, first apron $209M, second apron $222M also $1M lower each.

Last night’s loss to Iowa was very similar to last year’s second round win over UConn.

The difference?
Last year, Clayton hit a dagger three.
This season, Haugh missed two threes, and Boogie turned it over instead of making it a two possession game.
This Florida team just didn’t have a true go to scorer. That’s the reality, and it cost them their season.

People need to stop posting about last year’s natty.
It’s such a weak way to cope with this loss.
Yes, we won last year. That’s great and it does take a little sting off.
But this is a new team and a new season.
We can talk about going back to back, I’ve said it too, but at the end of the day Florida lost.
Now it’s about how Todd Golden responds this offseason after losing everyone from the championship team.

Do not put it all on Lee or Brown. The whole team, including the staff, did not get the job done tonight

Remember, it’s never just one player or one play that decides a game.
Everyone focuses on the final possession, but it’s always bigger than that.
No one should be blaming Isaiah Brown for missing a free throw or Xaivian Lee for not getting a shot off.

Why press when you’re up two?
You have one of the best defenses in the country.
Does Golden not trust his man-to-man defense in that situation?
Worst case, you give up a tough two or a contested three.
Instead, you give up a wide-open three.
