You will have a better experience working with creators when you treat them like humans and care about them. I know my creators' dogs' names. I check in to see if their child is feeling better after having a cold. Or how their birthday went 🤣 Maybe sounds silly, but nurturing the relationships and adding personal touches vs treating them like robots goes a long way. It's prob one of the reasons we've been working with a lot of the same creators since 2021. Creators rock w lauren labeled because lauren labeled rocks w creators.

Everyone keeps saying "summer is slow for UGC, brands chill out, budgets dry up." Cool story. Meanwhile I've been buried in briefs, retainers, and pitches since June. The "slow summer" thing is a myth creators tell themselves so they can justify not sending outreach. Brands don't stop needing content just because it's 90 degrees outside. A lot of agencies and UGC platforms brag about the number of creators they "work with." My agency focuses solely on the quality of creators. I've committed to myself that no matter how big we get or how many clients we have, we won't have more than 500 creators on our roster. Not because quantity is bad. But because at a certain point, it's impossible to feel connected to everyone you work with. And that connection is a top priority for me personally. The more your roster grows, the fewer opportunities you have to give each creator. Some agencies want 10,000 creators so they can brag to brands. The reality is they don't even work with most of those creators more than once. I would rather work with 100 A+ creators 30 times a year. People I can depend on to do great work, are a pleasure to work with, and show up for every project. But maybe that's just me.
