Daughter and I were on a horror kick this weekend. We started with The Frighteners and Killer Klowns from Outer Space (A+ classics!). Then we found Bring Her Back on HBO. Oh, my, god. A+ cinematography, brilliantly acted (esp. Sally Hawkins) but devastatingly bleak & brutal.🫣💔

@JuneYoon_ In my 40s I hit a brick wall. Burned out, stressed & panic attacks. Some survival instinct said this can’t be my new normal! Finally diving into voice acting turned my midlife crisis into a creative rebirth. Still got the day job, but now I’ve got balance and meaning again!🤟

This industry is filled with stories of "I was unhappy in my adult life/work and now that I'm a voice actor (or other creative craft/field), I'm much happier." And I'm quite certain that those folks longed for PLAY. That it had degraded over time, as "adulting" took over. 1/2

Wore my new @RedScytheStudio shirt all day at Disney yesterday. Finally at 11:45pm, I got my 1st engagement! The ride operator on Pirates asked if I was a voice actor and then was like “Oh man I wish we had time to actually talk about it!” (As our boat pulled away) 😂

I remember getting the audition for this and it said “Authentic Jamaican” (pirate) in the specs so I didn’t even audition!!! Hrmm 😤
