Go to universities and higher institutions and see how many female students are quietly helping their broke boyfriends survive. Using part of the allowance and stipends their parents sent for them just to support a man they love. Buying food. Paying transport. Sending urgent transfers. Helping with handouts and projects. Even covering bills when the guy is stranded. You all know this but hardly talk about it because you are too used to painting women as people who only collect from men. 🤷‍♂️

Police officers stopped the public car i entered. There were two guys and a girl in the back seat. I was the only one at the front. They told all of us to get down and searched our bags. They found nothing on all of us, just our phones, money, and maybe lipglosses and powerbanks. They asked the other girl what she did for a living, she said she's a student. They asked me too, and I gave the same answer. They asked the guys, they said 'students' too. The policemen went further to ask for their id cards. Those guys didn't have it. Next, they said the guys would go with them to the station. They left the other girl and I alone and faced the guys. They didn't ask for our own id cards, afterall we all claimed to be students. We pleaded, and all. But they insisted that the guys must go with them. We had no choice but to continue our own journey. I just pray they are safe and not extorted.

If you are a lecturer currently extorting students by any means, you are advised to stop now.
