So…quitting nicotine led to massive change in my life.
I lost over 100 pounds and have been weight lifting 5/6 days a week + 30 mins on the treadmill daily (8° incline, 3.5 mph) for the past year.
And today, for the first time in my life, 2 years since that tweet, I ran a mile without stopping. In fact I realized I could keep going and ended up going 2 miles at a 9:44 avg. pace. Which I know isn’t fast, or far, but for me, from where I was, it’s pretty unreal.
Do the thing. Kick that habit, and build from there. DM’s are always open to talk.

Small personal victory maybe worth sharing for anyone struggling. After 6 years stuck between cigs and vaping something clicked and I quit cold turkey last Thursday. Call it naive, but I’m confident the change is permanent. It was challenging, because the world is stressful and us little humans need vices. Make no mistake, nicotine doesn’t let you break away easy— but after getting through the hardest part, the degree to which I feel better is indescribable. If you want to quit, or are trying to - feel free to DM me. I’m happy to share what worked for me, support ya, and lend a judgement free ear. 💜
