Wait a sec, if your career is gambling and you're having a net loss for the year, it sounds like you need a new career. I don't mind at all that individuals having a net loss have to pay tax on their non-gambling income, like promotion, social media, shenanigans, etc.. I seriously doubt this is putting tens of thousands of careers in jeopardy

If you care about poker now is the time to get this out to every single corner of the internet. This has been snuck into the bill and if it passes tens of thousands of people will instantly lose their careers. We need to rally together now as the poker community.

GG Poker has lately been the home of the most regular open online high-stakes games. It appears they’ve now closed them (above $5k) and switched to a private, game model. What do you think about the decision?

@mobiuspoker If you live in an area that allows you to play on Pokerstars but you choose to play on GG instead you’re actively contributing to the death of online poker.

GGPoker appears to be transforming online poker into an unbeatable casino game. This shift negatively affects everyone involved. While professional players are directly impacted for obvious reasons, recreational players also suffer because such changes could diminish the game's popularity and make it indistinguishable from other casino offerings. In the end, the only winner here is GGPoker, capitalizing on increased profits at the expense of the entire poker community. Currently, these changes only affect very high-stakes games. However, GGPoker is also raking NL500-2K to the maximum. It's hard to imagine them lowering the rake at these levels, but it's plausible they might increase it further. What surprises me is that GGPoker ambassadors who originated from the professional poker community have not jumped ship yet (with the notable exception of @JasonKoon). Instead, they seem to be participating in actions that could contribute to the decline of online poker.

Hey fam, it’s tough to post this but here goes: I had a pretty rough summer and would be interested in a backing /staking deal. I own a small business that pays most of my day to day expenses, but im not comfortable with taking on much more risk right now as I have a baby due in a couple months. I’m certainly a winning player, I have records and public results to verify. I’m sure some of my peers could attest here. I study obsessively, I have no major vices and poker is my absolute obsession. I’ve always had 100% of my own action and I’ve never stiffed anyone in business or the poker community.
