@UtahDWR Does DWR care about beaver activity on the Provo river between Deer Creek Res and the mouth of Provo Canyon? I've seen a lot of activity this winter and I saw a beaver swimming in the river today near the junction of UT189 & UT92 (40.36244153932043, -111.56008659029594). I would hate to see a lot of trees lost in Provo Canyon.

@matthewstoller Property taxes are NOT an unrealized gains tax. They are payment for services you receive (fire, police, road maintenance) that are tied directly to the property you own. You receive no such services for other assets you own (art, collectibles, etc.)

Taxing unrealized capital gains is outrageous unless it’s property taxes paid by normal people that’s cool

@Jason “Run” for office? Government? Ha! The only thing being in the government does is make you part of the problem instead of the solution. Government has never solved problems, the harder they try the worse the problem gets. Free markets are the only thing that solves problems.

If/when I run, I’m going to focus on solving the big 3: 1. Healthcare 2. Housing 3. Education These are the most regulated, calcified, inefficient & corrupt verticals in America. We’ve funded companies in each & it’s been brutal. So hard, most folks have given up.

Why would corporations like Amazon replace workers with robots? Pretty simple. Robots don’t need a wage, health care, time off, sick leave, Social Security, Medicare or unemployment benefits. Maybe it’s time to tax robots & use the revenue generated to help working families.
