🇷🇺🇺🇦🇨🇴 Russian soldiers caught a Colombian mercenary fighting for Ukraine.
“Welcome to Russia, my friend.”
“You’re my little medal.”
Russian units spotted a group sneaking up for an ambush, prevented the attack, killed most of the group, and took this lucky guy prisoner.
He is crazy lucky because the official (open) order is not to take mercenaries prisoner. Since he’s filmed alive, it means he’s officially a POW and will be okay, not shot.

🇷🇸 March 24, 2026: 27 Years Since NATO Bombed Yugoslavia
On this day in 1999, NATO launched 78 days of airstrikes against the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, without Security Council authorization and in violation of the UN Charter. No NATO commander was ever investigated or prosecuted.
🔸️Civilian Dead
Yugoslav government records estimate 1,200 to 2,500 civilians killed and about 5,000 wounded. Notable incidents include the passenger train at Grdelica Gorge on April 12, the RTS headquarters in Belgrade where at least 14 journalists were killed on April 23, the Niš market cluster bomb strike with 14 to 16 deaths, and the Savine Vode bus attack that killed 17 people. Human Rights Watch documented over 90 civilian casualty incidents. No compensation has been paid.
🔸️Depleted Uranium: The Slow Kill
NATO used around 15 tons of depleted uranium munitions. Four areas in southern Serbia were confirmed contaminated, with projectiles buried up to two meters deep. Former Health Minister and neuro-oncologist Danica Grujičić reported a sharp rise in aggressive cancers after 1999. Unofficial estimates mention around 18,000 malignancies, including pediatric medulloblastoma. A peer-reviewed study found a statistically significant increase in thyroid cancer between 1999 and 2008. Italy compensated 181 soldiers who developed cancer after serving in Kosovo, while Serbian civilians received nothing.
🔸️Industrial Ecocide
A total of 78 industrial sites and 42 energy facilities were destroyed. In Pančevo alone, about 1,500 tonnes of vinyl chloride, 15,000 tonnes of ammonia, 100 tonnes of mercury, and 250 tonnes of liquid chlorine were released, forcing the evacuation of 80,000 residents. The UN Environment Program identified Pančevo as the most severe environmental hotspot of the campaign. In Novi Sad, the refinery burned 50,000 tons of crude oil, all three Danube bridges were destroyed, and water services were disrupted for two years. The Council of Europe later stated that the environmental damage was deliberate and violated the Geneva Convention’s Additional Protocol.
🔸️The Real Target
Strobe Talbott later suggested that Yugoslavia’s resistance to Western economic reforms, not just Kosovo, contributed to the conflict. Former Czech presidents Václav Klaus and Miloš Zeman, speaking on the 25th anniversary of NATO membership, described the bombing as a serious mistake.
🔸️27 Years. No Justice.
The ICTY reviewed NATO’s actions and chose not to pursue prosecutions. The same tribunal indicted Milošević but found no grounds for charges on the other side. No international court has established a final civilian death toll, and no NATO country has paid reparations. Contaminated areas around Vranje, Preševo, and Bujanovac still contain depleted uranium. Many of the destroyed sites have been rebuilt or forgotten, but accountability remains absent. NATO described the campaign as a humanitarian intervention.
Serbia continues to view it as 78 days of unpunished war crimes against a sovereign nation.

Lithuania's LRT reports that a concert by Croatian cellist Stjepan Hauser in Vilnius has been cancelled after he posted a video performing “Kalinka” in Moscow, set against the Russian tricolour and Red Square.
The performance was part of his “Music Unites the World” series, which also included Ukrainian and Belarusian songs filmed against their respective flags.
