I believe he can pray for people just like you or I can. But we no longer have the need to confess our sins to anyone except GOD—through JESUS CHRIST and by the HOLY SPIRIT. The Bible makes it clear, more than once, that we do not need a man to be an intercessor for us anymore—not since Jesus Christ took on the sins of the world, died on the cross for us, and rose again.
“For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” — 1 Timothy 2:5 (KJV)
When He died, He made a way for us to come directly to Him. The veil was torn. Because of that, we can call upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved, and we can go boldly to Him at any time.
“Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace…” — Hebrews 4:16 (KJV)
He already paid the price for our sins. As true Christians, we can speak directly to Him whenever we want. We ask forgiveness from the One who already made the sacrifice for us, and He is who we are to follow and strive to emulate—not any man, because we are all equal in our need for Him.
