With Kevin Durant's status for Game 2 still up in the air, I spoke with @GameInjuryDoc about exactly what a bone contusion is, if he could make it worse by coming back too soon, how the injury will limit his game when he does come back, what other players have recently dealt with this type of injury, and a lot more.
"The main issue he will have to deal with is the speed of the game and the repetition of jumping. Think of when people have patellar tendinitis, it can really be bothersome from repetitive jumping."

My stance remains the same. No Luka/Reaves, no KD. If the Rockets tanked for 3 seasons, had 4 top-4 picks, and cannot beat LeBron James a year from retirement and friends, we have a massive issue that cannot be solved with margin moves.
The Rockets should still win this series.

It has been confirmed Kevin Durant was injured by chasing a loose ball in practice and colliding his knee with a teammate.

Update: The Rockets are optimistic Kevin Durant can return as soon as game 2. Remains to be seen however…. The last thing I want is KD to come back too early and re-injure himself. If he’s good to go for game 2 god bless, but bring him back game 3 if he’s not able to go.
