@hannahrossbooks I think the answer to both is that when you are at school neither you nor your teachers know what you or yr class will become as adults. Someone in class may well need calculus, or cursive or even spring jumps. Just a thought.

Sorry, but this is just wild to me. I'm only a few years older than this guy. I write in cursive all the time. Heck, my diaries and poems starting from elementary school were written in cursive. In three languages.
