Nov 5th made clear that a candidate’s personal character no longer matters. I mean, America just knowingly reelected an utterly horrible human being - a pathological liar, a cheat, a criminal, someone thoroughly corrupt. Donald Trump is the antithesis of Jimmy Carter, who, for all his political & policy flaws, was a thoroughly decent human being. But because of our broken politics today, Americans no longer care about decency. That’s too bad.
