Gee I wonder why the Pentagon walked away from the Canada-U.S. defence board. The media all day has even tried pretending to be naive as to why. Well they know exactly why. It’s this man right here who has been for a year purposely sabotaging our relationship. The U.S. has had to listen to Carney for a year telling the world our relationship is over.

If you want to understand why companies are so reluctant to invest in Canada watch this. Here’s Jon McKenzie the CEO of Cenovus explaining why investing in Canada is almost pointless. All of Canada’s regulations “have made it incredibly complicated with policy frameworks that makes investments in Canada incredibly difficult & non competitive with other Countries” Meanwhile Carney gaslights us everyday claiming the industrial carbon tax is making us more competitive. He is lying to our faces.

We cannot sell our oil because it is not decarbonized. But we can sell our airports to the countries buying them with oil money? Saudi Arabia does not decarbonize its oil. The UAE does not decarbonize its oil. They are among the most likely buyers of Canadian airports if Carney proceeds with privatization. They will use oil profits to buy Canadian infrastructure while Canada sits on its own oil waiting for a carbon capture condition that makes no economic sense. We are applying a standard to ourselves that we do not apply to the countries buying our most valuable public assets. It doesn't make any sense.

Imagine having a political leader seriously suggesting we abandon trade with the largest economy in the world--our closest neighbour, lowest-cost partner, and biggest customer. Canada sends ~75% of its exports to the U.S. For Alberta it's closer to ~85–90%. That’s not a minor relationship you can “pivot” away from overnight--it’s the backbone of our economy. You don’t strengthen a country by picking fights with your primary customer. You don’t create jobs by making it harder to sell what we produce. Albertans understand this. We rely on access to U.S. markets, and we have no interest in reckless strategies that gamble with our livelihoods. Strong countries don’t act out of impulse. Instead of making a deal with the U.S. like he promised he would do to get elected, he is purposely sabotaging our relationship so he can implement his plan. Il a doublé le déficit, n’a négocié aucun nouvel accord de libre-échange avec aucun autre pays et n’a approuvé aucun pipeline. Avec les libéraux de Mark Carney, le Canada a la pire inflation alimentaire ainsi que l’endettement des ménages et les coûts de logement les plus élevés de tous les pays du G7.
