For me personally, if you ask me, 2027 is still far, @officialABAT should resign, he's incapable of running the country. Waiting till 2027, more people are going to die due to insecurity, lack of good health care, more funds going to be diverted and embezzled, many more businesses will close down due to weak economic power and many more investors will leave Nigeria. So for me, I don't think we need to gamble that long.

Well, Mr Averroes, it's clear you only encounter Peter Obi through whatever your algorithm feeds you. Because five minutes of actual research would have saved you this embarrassment. This man you say can't 'dissect problems' was the youngest ever chairman of Fidelity Bank. Under his leadership era, Fidelity grew from a small merchant bank to acquiring FSB International Bank and Manny Bank, becoming a top 10 bank in Nigeria. Today that bank serves over 9 million customers, has 250+ branches, and holds over $4.2 billion in total assets. He didn't stop there. He served as Chairman and Director across THREE financial institutions and later chaired the Securities and Exchange Commission. But sure, he can't proffer solutions. He then governed Anambra for 8 years without borrowing a single naira, improved schools and hospitals, and left money in the treasury. How many governors can say that? You called him a 'political fraud' and said handing him the presidency would be a 'generational mistake.' So who's your alternative? The ones currently running the country into the ground? Please, stop letting your algorithm think for you.
Averroes@d_Advocate1

I have never seen a video of this man properly dissecting a problem and proffering a sound solution. There is no video of him attempting any critical evaluation or intelligently discussing any of the perennial issues militating against the country's progress. It is always the same regurgitated poverty statistics and empty rhetoric. It would be a generational mistake to hand over the presidency to this kind of political fraud.

@ruffydfire Although I like Obi, but for the sake of sending bad government packing, I will go for Atiku .REASONS: Majority of votes always come from North. When Northerners go for Atiku and APC uses palliatives to buy people's minds, what then remain for Obi? As for me ooo Atiku/Obi

On the face of it, with noted human capacity indicators, from foreign scholarships to institutional growth, @KwankwasoRM is ahead. Education-wise, he is ahead. He is a PhD holder. In government experience, he is also ahead; from House of Representatives to Governor, to Senator, to Minister, he's got it above @PeterObi. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso is well-suited to be a presidential candidate. Again, the @NDCNigparty will decide.

The difference between Atiku and Peter Obi is simple. If either of them went head to head against Tinubu alone, one would actually pull voters away from Tinubu. The other would make people run back to vote Tinubu out of frustration. And we all know which is which.

Maybe this is why our Government is failing perpetually. Cos the civil service is 100% Nigerians worst of, mostly hired through nepotism and connections not merit. Everyday, Peter Obi keeps screaming that our National Literacy rate and IQ is going lower and lower, we’re busy with politics. 📌

HOW DO I CALL THE ATTENTION OF THE @OgunPoliceNG @PoliceNG @PoliceNG_CRU TO THE CONDUCT OF SOME OF THEIR OFFICERS SO THEY CAN BE CAUTIONED TO BEHAVE PROPERLY? I DO NOT HAVE EVIDENCE, BUT THAT DOES NOT MEAN IT DID NOT HAPPEN. THEY APPEAR TO BE SWAT OFFICERS “SWAT” IS WRITTEN ON THEIR UNIFORM. I ONLY HOPE IF A COMPLAINT IS MADE, THE POLICE WILL NOT HAND THE DETAILS BACK TO THE SAME OFFICERS. THEY WERE BROUGHT TO THIS AREA AROUND LAST YEAR, AND THE WHOLE NEIGHBOURHOOD FELT IT IMMEDIATELY. THEY MOVE AROUND PICKING BOYS ON THE ROAD (NOW THEY ARE CALM), PICKING UP ANYBODY WHO STAYS LATE OUTSIDE HIS HOUSE... EVEN PEOPLE JUST TRYING TO GET BREEZE BECAUSE THERE IS NO LIGHT. THEY CHASE YOUNG MEN THEY SIMPLY SUSPECT, DRESS CARELESSLY, AND CARRY GUNS EVERYWHERE THEY GO EVEN TO BUY ALCOHOL ON THE STREET. I SAW THEM AGAIN A FEW DAYS AGO, AND HONESTLY I FELT SCARED. WHAT IF THERE IS ACCIDENTAL DISCHARGE? EVERY ONE OF THEM IS ARMED EVEN WHEN THERE IS NO TROUBLE, NO EMERGENCY, NO ALARM JUST PATROLLING THE STREET AND GOING AFTER PEOPLE OUTSIDE. THEY REALLY NEED TO BE CAUTIONED. PEOPLE SHOULD NOT FEEL FEAR JUST BECAUSE POLICE ENTER THEIR STREET.

This is exactly the problem. Many have made similar complaints. These officers have clearly forgotten that their job is to PROTECT citizens, not terrorize them. People can't even sit outside their own homes late noon to get some air, considering NEPA doing what they do best at, and they're being harassed for it? That's not policing. That's harassment and abuse of power. The directorate/commissioner needs to call these officers to order immediately. And if these individuals are not actually police and are just parading in uniform, then they need to be fished out and made to face the full weight of the law. Nobody should feel unsafe in their own neighbourhood because of the people who are supposed to keep them safe. This is exactly how public trust in the police breaks down completely. @PoliceNG @OgunPoliceNG do better.

HANDING OVER “FULL CONTROL” OF ELECTRICITY SUPPLY IN Nigeria TO ANY FOREIGN COUNTRY FOR 20 YEARS IS NOT A SIMPLE SOLUTION... IT IS A MAJOR SOVEREIGNTY AND SECURITY DECISION. YES, THERE IS A REAL PROBLEM: POWER SUPPLY HAS BEEN UNSTABLE FOR YEARS, DESPITE MULTIPLE REFORMS AND PRIVATE SECTOR INVOLVEMENT. THAT IS A FACT. BUT THE REAL QUESTION IS NOT “WHO CAN TAKE OVER COMPLETELY,” IT IS WHY HAS LOCAL GOVERNANCE, INVESTMENT, AND ACCOUNTABILITY FAILED TO DELIVER RESULTS AFTER ALL THESE YEARS? COUNTRIES DON’T SOLVE INFRASTRUCTURE FAILURE BY GIVING AWAY TOTAL CONTROL, THEY SOLVE IT THROUGH STRONG REGULATION, INVESTMENT IN GRID MODERNISATION, ENFORCEMENT AGAINST WASTE, AND LONG-TERM POLICY CONSISTENCY. NIGERIA’S ELECTRICITY PROBLEM IS NOT LACK OF FOREIGN HELP.... IT IS LACK OF SUSTAINED LOCAL ACCOUNTABILITY AND EXECUTION.
Somto Okonkwo@General_Somto

“Only China Can Help Us Out Of This Issue Of Electricity In Nigeria. The Best Thing To Do Is To Swallow Our Pride And Give China Full Control Of Our Electricity For 20 Years. So They Can Give Us Stable Electricity Supply And Real Development In Nigeria.” ~ Senator Danjuma Goje Tells Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

The thing is, internal party politics in Nigeria isn't really about ideology or merit. It's a game of the highest bidder. I mean, look at presidential tickets across these parties with their ridiculous prices. I think it's high time we have conversation on Independent candidacy. Let individuals run on their own name, their own record, their own resources, without getting dragged into the internal politicking, the godfatherism, and the backroom deals that have nothing to do with governance.

IF @PeterObi CAN’T STAY THROUGH INTERNAL PARTY HEAT, PEOPLE WILL NATURALLY ASK HOW HE PLANS TO HANDLE A COUNTRY AS HARD AS NIGERIA. POLITICS IS NOT JUST ABOUT POPULARIT... IT’S ALSO ABOUT ENDURANCE, NEGOTIATION AND SURVIVING PRESSURE. BUT IT SHOULD ALSO BE SAID: LEAVING A PARTY DOESN’T AUTOMATICALLY PROVE WEAKNESS. SOMETIMES IT’S STRATEGY, SOMETIMES IT’S DISAGREEMENT. THE BIGGER ISSUE IS CONSISTENCY IF YOU KEEP MOVING WHEN INTERNAL BATTLES START, PEOPLE WILL QUESTION WHETHER YOU’RE CHASING PRINCIPLE OR JUST THE EASIEST PATH. IN NIGERIAN POLITICS, EVERYONE CLAIMS STRATEGY BUT VOTERS ALSO NOTICE WHO STAYS WHEN THINGS GET HOT.

Interviewer: “Can you give me two reasons why I should vote for President Tinubu for a second tenure?” APC supporter: “How many states are APC states right now in Nigeria? That alone is a signal. If a party is controlling about 32 states, what does that mean? Those governors are rushing to join APC because Tinubu is doing well.”

Tweet of the year. Anyways. Like you stated, we shouldn't be politicking every thing even when it comes to serious national problem. Good luck on your journey.
Peter Obi@PeterObi

Fellow Nigerians, good morning. I woke up this morning after my church service with a deeply reflective heart, and despite every constraint, I felt compelled to share these thoughts with you. Many people do not truly understand the silent pains some of us carry daily—the private struggles, emotional burdens, and quiet battles we face while trying to survive and serve sincerely in difficult circumstances. We now live in an environment that has become increasingly toxic, where the very system that should protect and create opportunities for decent living often works against the people—a society where intimidation, insecurity, endless scrutiny, and discouragement have become normal. More painful is when some of those you associate with, believing you would find understanding and solidarity among them, become part of the pressure you face. Some who publicly identify with you privately distance themselves or join in unfair criticism. We live in a society where humility is mistaken for weakness, respect is seen as a lack of courage, and compassion is treated as foolishness—a system where treating people equally is questioned simply because you refuse to worship status, tribe, class, or power. Personally, I have never looked down on anyone except to uplift them. I have never used privilege, position, or resources to oppress others, intimidate the weak, or make people feel small. To me, leadership has always been about service, sacrifice, and helping others rise. Let me state clearly: my decision to leave the ADC is not because our highly respected Chairman, Senator David Mark, treated me badly, nor because my leader and elder brother, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, or any other respected leaders did anything personally wrong to me. I will continue to respect them. However, the same Nigerian state and its agents that created unnecessary crises and hostility within the Labour Party that forced me to leave now appear to be finding their way into the ADC, with endless court cases, internal battles, suspicion, and division, instead of focusing on deeper national problems and playing politics built more on control and exclusion than on service and nation-building. Even within spaces where one labours sincerely, one is sometimes treated like an outsider in one’s own home. You and your team become easy targets for every failure, frustration, or misunderstanding, as though honest contribution has become a favour being tolerated rather than appreciated. And when you choose to leave so that those you are leaving can have peace, and you step out into the cold, you are still maligned and your character is questioned. Despite all your efforts to continue working for a better Nigeria and engaging people with sincerity and goodwill, those who do not wish you well continue to attack your character and question your intentions. There are moments I ask God in prayer: Why is doing the right thing often misconstrued as wrongdoing in our country? Why is integrity not valued? Why is the prudent management of resources, especially when invested in critical areas like education and healthcare, wrongly labelled as stinginess? Why are humility and obedience to the rule of law often taken to be weakness rather than discipline? Let me assure all that I am not desperate to be President, Vice President, or Senate President. I am desperate to see a society that can console a mother whose child has been kidnapped or killed while going to school or work. I am desperate to see a Nigeria where people will not live in IDP camps but in their homes. I am desperate for a country where Nigerian citizens do not go to bed hungry, not knowing where their next meal will come from. Yet, despite everything, I remain resolute. I firmly believe that Nigeria can still become a country with competent leadership based on justice, compassion, and equal opportunity for all. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO
