@NickTCavazos SSPX is bringing excommunication upon themselves. I'm not seeing the double standard. If the German Bishops tried to illicitly ordinate, they would also face excommunication.

Many people have asked me, so here you go. The SSPX is mostly likely going to be excommunicated. The bishops will be, and the priests will have their few faculties taken away. There is a decent chance that the TLM will not be restored in the way it was under Benedict. The German bishops will most likely not be punished for promoting homosexuality, abortion or transgenderism. I am not trying to be a doomer about things, but that it just the reality. The Vatican is a country, and as such is very much concerned with its own global standing. It looses no political points on a world political scale by getting rid of the SSPX. It looses tons by condemning the German bishops. That is why there is a double standard. Most Catholic influencers look at things from a theological point of view and forget the real political ramifications of the Vatican decisions.

Lefebvre was a true pastor and master missionary. He was also very French (in the best and worst of ways), and he had a mutually antagonistic relationship with Paul VI. I pray for an irenic solution to the current impasse.

The WW2/Holocaust narrative as we know it is much more recent than people realize. In the 40s and 50s, people basically talked about the war as a terrible, regrettable thing that had happened. It wasn't until the 70s/80s that the narrative we know today was aggressively pushed.

So what does this imply? That according to the Society: Rome no longer holds the Faith. This directly contradicts the indefectibility of the Church that our Lord promised us in Matthew 16:18. You can’t in good conscience believe such a distortion and remain Catholic.
