@danni_dietitian @RobDietitian @iamyourgasman @BDACriticalCare @lucymorganRD Totally agree, poor appetite is just one of the many reasons why patients don’t eat. Supplemental ng feeding is often needed to facilitate nutritional recovery during the ward phase of care.

@iamyourgasman @BDACriticalCare @lucymorganRD Simple answer… yes! Our data show no difference in appetite / oral intake between those enterally fed & those not enterally fed. NG feeding is not the enemy, but removing NGs too early may negatively impact recovery. #SOA21
