Re-watched every snap that Mark Andrews was on the field last night. I was the lowest on our show on Andrews coming into the year so I could take a pretend victory lap, but instead, I have a message after watching the film. DO NOT PANIC...here's why: I added up every "opportunity for a target" through the entire night, based on the coverage and routes run. 1st Half: 1 Dump Off Opp (No Target) 1 Dump Off Opp (Caught, Penalty) 1 Dump Off Opp (No Target) 2nd Half: Over the Middle Opp 1 on 1 (Catch) 1 Dump off Opp (No Target) 1 Flat Opp (Catch) *MAYBE* a brief seam chance at 5:15 *MAYBE* a Dump Off Opp (No Target) He was bracketed on anything downfield all night. On the final 2 plays of the game, he had THREE defenders covering him. This will NOT be the norm. Pass rush led to piles of designed screens where he blocked, to Likely and Hill. He had 6 MAYBE 7 or 8 total OPPORTUNITIES for targets in this one. And no these weren't plays where if he "got better separation he'd have had the shot" plays. There's legitimately no reason to panic here. I didn't rank him as high because I believed Likely's talent was impossible to keep off the field but Andrews is going to be FINE. This play is an example of pretty much every opportunity he had to run down field:

you don't see minions much anymore. not going to say anything for certain, but possibly because of wokeness
