Two economists just published a mathematical proof that AI will destroy the economy. Not might. Not could. Will — if nothing changes. The paper is called "The AI Layoff Trap." A company fires 500 workers and replaces them with AI. A competitor fires 700 to keep up. Another fires 1,000. Every company is behaving rationally. Every company is following the incentives correctly. And every company is building a trap for itself. Because the workers who were fired were also customers. When they lose their jobs faster than the economy can absorb them, they stop spending. Consumer demand falls. Companies respond by cutting costs — which means automating more workers — which means less spending — which means more falling demand — which means more automation. The loop has no natural exit. The researchers tested every proposed solution. Universal basic income. Capital income taxes. Worker equity participation. Upskilling programs. Corporate coordination agreements. Every single one failed in the model. The only intervention that worked: a Pigouvian automation tax — a per-task levy charged every time a company replaces a human with AI, forcing them to price in the demand they are destroying before they pull the trigger. No government has implemented this. No major economy is seriously discussing it. Meanwhile the numbers are already tracking the curve. 100,000 tech workers laid off in 2025. 92,000 more in the first months of 2026. Jack Dorsey fired half of Block's workforce and said publicly: "Within the next year, the majority of companies will reach the same conclusion." Nobody is doing anything wrong. She said she feared for her life but would not stop, because the nexus between politicians and babus was slowly poisoning this country. On August 16, 2011, she sat in her car outside her home, about to leave for an Anna Hazare rally. A hired gunman shot her once through the throat. The CBI said the motive was a love triangle. Four people were convicted and sentenced to life. The mining angle was never investigated. Her father told investigators that high profile people had conspired to kill his daughter. Nobody listened. She was posthumously given the SR Jindal Crusade Against Corruption Award, an honour shared with APJ Abdul Kalam. India rewarded her with a bullet, then gave her an award, then forgot her name. Make new friends, but keep the old. A new photo captures the Moon's near side on the right (the side we see from Earth, identifiable by its dark splotches) and its far side on the left. The Artemis II crew are the first to see the far side with human eyes.

U15 and U16 tournament ongoing concurrently. 5 U16 players are with the 18s, all but one international players. Best U15 is with the 18s. A significant number of U15 are up with the 16s who are through to the quarter finals of their tournament after brace scored by… U15 player. Not a good result here, no. But in the same way one spectacular win, trophy or even season doesn’t define an academy. Development is key. But moreover it’s not worth huge swinging reactions in the social media age from one bad result.
