@mexican_sunbro @drakanous Maybe so or maybe not, but if I’m paying monthly for a game, and I’m not getting any engaging content, I’m not gonna play anymore. I genuinely hope they turn it around; I’d love to come back and play again. If I lose my house so be it, I can’t justify the sub anymore.

@Jukebox_Arcade1 @drakanous The bitterest pill to swallow is that almost everything wrong with FFXIV is because the devs kept listening to the stupidest and most vocal feedback. Not all feedback is worth listening to.

Something I genuinely hope for in XIV is that the devs let go of trying to please everyone and figure out what it is they want the game to be. What's the game THEY want to play. If there's a solid vision to go with their genuine passion, people will follow. The recent comments about how they designed the upcoming Deep Dungeon sounds like they're starting to flip that switch. They DO try to innovate, they DO try to give new things a shot, but it does at least SEEM like they get discouraged very quickly. This leads to a lot of systems being introduced but dropped within a couple patch cycles. I'm not in that space so I can't imagine the pressures, but at the very least I'm seeing them figure out what they want their battle content to be. It prunes some players, but those of us enjoying it REALLY enjoy it. And that's okay. It's okay that a game isn't for everyone. It's okay that some people get upset at changes. It's going to happen whether we like it or not. I say this with love, but aside from combat, XIV feels like it doesn't quite have its own identity... yet. And I'm rooting for them to find it, EVEN IF that final product isn't one that I personally enjoy.

@drakanous They need to make variations in content, give reasons to explore more and not just mindlessly go. The game has lost its sense of wonder, and everything is recycled. They found rhythm in Stormblood and Shadowbringers and became complacent.

@drakanous Describe a dungeon in FF? 2 pulls, a boss, 2 pulls, a boss, 2 pulls, final boss. Describe an alliance raid. Boss, trash pull, boss, trash pull, boss, final boss. Savage content, 3 boss fights, a 4th boss fight (sometimes has a gate boss, sometimes it doesn’t). It’s all the same.

@RinKarigani I remember when each new patch was exciting. Great new story, great new content, new exciting changes, big hype. Then the content cycle from Shadowbringers was the same as Endwalker, was the same as as Dawntrail. All content for the last 7-8 years is recycled with a new skin.

@Ravynmysst Try doing a window capture instead of game capture. From window capture properties, make sure the Capture Method is set to Windows 10 (1903 and up)

@Jukebox_Arcade1 Exactly. Like, I still own it, if I earned it, I still know that I earned. If I bought it, I still had x amount of time with it exclusive, now everybody can have something cool to them.

It's true. The only people that would be upset with things like this is people that suffer from FOMO. I've even been guilty of it myself sometimes.
