Feels very crazy that #ENVIR490 quite literally flew past us and we are done and ready for #ENVIR491 to begin! Thank you to the amazing #ENVIR492 students that provided great resources and information for us. I am excited to begin my internship and I wish everyone good luck!

@laurenchurch_ Congrats! Yeah it it does feel very nice to be done with capstone work… for now, and to have the overall basis for our projects done and ready to get started on here in a few weeks!

Submitted my final proposal and learning contract yesterday! Definitely a relief to be done but feels great to have the groundwork for my project started. #ENVIR490

@_jasminebarreto @jollwi15 I know right! I actually didn't really know how the lightning talks were formatted but its such a cool concept honestly, and all it 5 minutes!!! I kinda got inspired to possibly do one for our symposium…🫣

The #POEcap lightning talks yesterday were amazing, so much information was packed into five minutes. It was great to hear @jollwi15 present about outreach and the importance of storytelling in environmental communication #ENVIR490

@ellinrac I agree! It was a bit inspiring to see how far they've come throughout the entire capstone process and that we'll be in those positions too… bit still lots of work to go for now haha

@gy_capstone Does everyone have to use the same platform to create their posters because some of them still look the same as they did back in 2015(with the exception that people are starting to create more creative looking posters now lol)

I am very excited to attend the #POEcap symposium tomorrow for the #ENVIR492 students, its also bittersweet as I've grown connections with many of them! Overall, very excited for them and their futures and for the symposium to begin! #ENVIR490

@KeyaRRoy It is a bit frightening to think about, as well as how wildfire, smoke, and heat seasons are seeming to be happening earlier and earlier every year with no sings of getting better.🫠🔥

Anyone else just a little terrified that we just had a minor heat wave and smoke event in the middle of may? #climatechange

@myasando Also we talked about what I will actually be doing during the internship portion more in depth so that was helpful too. And possible connections that they could make for me and my research process, overall it was good and they will probably have questions for you too!

@myasando You can bring any questions you still have and need clarification on weather that's internship related or things in capstone that you need communication with them on. Also I talked a bit about my proposal and tentative research question I have for now and how we can connect it!
