My first Hume's Yellow-Browed Warbler at Marston Vale Millennium Country Park today. Very difficult to keep track of as it flitted amongst the branches, so pleased to get this shot.

Today looks like a perfect painting day as we have lots of much needed rain. Here's one I finished in the week, inspired by my first White Admiral sighting @GreensandTrust around Stockgrove lake.

Autumn Magic. Apparently Reindeer herds people used to feed Fly Agaric to their Reindeer and then drink the resulting liquid to safely enjoy the trippy benefits.

Male Stonechat in the field behind our garden just after dawn this morning. Later on while I was at work @JulieCuthbert1 watched it feeding actually in our garden! Not jealous at all 😭 Not much movement overhead but did get a couple of Brambling, Redpoll and a few Siskin.

Recently @Robbirder promised he would go for a quick dog walk then help me load the car and set up my art exhibition. Instead he found a Nightjar and I had to rush to join him.Luckily I made it in time for the opening and saw my first day roosting Nightjar which was fabulous!

In the 2 weeks since saying "SORRY", 3 water companies have already paid out £672m to shareholders, that's your money and they still want to fleece you for another £10bn. Remember that the next time you find yourself standing at the ballot box. bbc.co.uk/news/science-e…

Woodland regeneration at a site I manage in the Chilterns. Holly, beech, hornbeam, birch, ash, elder, hawthorn all coming up through a protective layer of bramble. Paths cut through the undergrowth & some bramble cut periodically each winter.
