Professor Paola Giunti (Head of the Ataxia Centre, UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology) and her team at UCLH have collaborated with pharmaceutical company Biogen to progress the first ever treatment for a rare genetic disease called Friedreich’s ataxia.

I had a great time last night with colleagues and collaborators #ICAR2024 Attending this conference brought back happy memories when I was working at @AtaxiaUK We organised the first large #ataxia #research Congress with #patients groups in 2015! Since then it keeps growing!!
