What fantastic news from Hungary. Proof that if you stand up to it right wing kleptocratic populist authoritarianism can be beaten. Orban will now flee somewhere with his wealth. But this is more than a bad night for him. It is a bad night for Putin who as in Moldova spent a fortune trying to rig it. It is a bad night for Trump. It is a bad night for Vance and Rubio who believed that their mere presence in Budapest would swing the vote Orban’s way. They helped Magyar! . It is a bad night for Farage the AfD and Le Pen because it shows that when their brand of politics is exposed to serious opposition and scrutiny it collapses. Magyar is far from the perfect leader but my God he deserves all the congratulations coming his way for ousting Orban and showing how it can be done. He now has the tough job of dismantling the corrupt systems and bodies installed over 16 years. The people of Hungary deserve our thanks for showing these people can be beaten. And Zelensky now deserves far greater support from Europe.

BREAKING: Trump SHOCKS Catholics with a deranged Sunday night attack on Pope Leo, calling him "WEAK," claiming credit for him becoming pope, and accusing him of "hurting the Catholic Church" in a lengthy blasphemous rant. These sound like the words of the literal Antichrist... "Pope Leo is WEAK on Crime, and terrible for Foreign Policy. He talks about 'fear' of the Trump Administration, but doesn’t mention the FEAR that the Catholic Church, and all other Christian Organizations, had during COVID when they were arresting priests, ministers, and everybody else, for holding Church Services, even when going outside, and being ten and even twenty feet apart," Trump wrote on Truth Social. Up until now, Trump has avoided insulting Leo directly despite the pope's vocal criticisms of his Iran War and his brutal treatment of migrants. Over the weekend, Leo again slammed the war and blamed it on a "delusion of omnipotence" while calling for an immediate end to the conflict. Clearly, this time his message struck a nerve. "I like his brother Louis much better than I like him, because Louis is all MAGA," Trump continued. "He gets it, and Leo doesn’t! I don’t want a Pope who thinks it’s OK for Iran to have a Nuclear Weapon. I don’t want a Pope who thinks it’s terrible that America attacked Venezuela, a Country that was sending massive amounts of Drugs into the United States and, even worse, emptying their prisons, including murderers, drug dealers, and killers, into our Country." Trump's own intelligence agencies have admitted that Iran was not pursuing nuclear weapons, just like those same agencies have stated that Venezuela was not trafficking large amounts of drugs into the United States. As usual, he's lying. "And I don’t want a Pope who criticizes the President of the United States because I’m doing exactly what I was elected, IN A LANDSLIDE, to do, setting Record Low Numbers in Crime, and creating the Greatest Stock Market in History," Trump continued. For the record, it doesn't matter what kind of pope Trump "wants." He's not Catholic and clearly doesn't believe in God at all. His opinion on the papacy is about as relevant as Satan's. "Leo should be thankful because, as everyone knows, he was a shocking surprise," Trump went on. "He wasn’t on any list to be Pope, and was only put there by the Church because he was an American, and they thought that would be the best way to deal with President Donald J. Trump. If I wasn’t in the White House, Leo wouldn’t be in the Vatican." Not that it matters to Trump — who clearly doesn't give a damn about offending Catholics — but the Church has never and will never revolve around him. It's a 2000-year-old institution, older than MAGA, older than the United States itself. Popes are chosen to shepherd the faithful towards Jesus Christ, not to pander to American presidents. Not only that, but Catholics believe that the Holy Spirit helps guide the papal election through the College of Cardinals. In his hubris and rage, Trump is spitting on ancient, sacred beliefs. "Unfortunately, Leo’s Weak on Crime, Weak on Nuclear Weapons, does not sit well with me, nor does the fact that he meets with Obama Sympathizers like David Axelrod, a LOSER from the Left, who is one of those who wanted churchgoers and clerics to be arrested," Trump wrote. "Leo should get his act together as Pope, use Common Sense, stop catering to the Radical Left, and focus on being a Great Pope, not a Politician. It’s hurting him very badly and, more importantly, it’s hurting the Catholic Church! President DONALD J. TRUMP" the president concluded. Ironically, Trump is the one filtering these issues through a political lens. Leo is not being a politician. He's being a Christian. True followers of Jesus — not the bloodthirsty Evangelicals who make up the MAGA base — are profoundly anti-war. If Leo were being "political" he wouldn't be speaking out so forcefully on these moral issues. He's defending migrants and innocent people being torn apart by American bombs because it's the right thing to do, even if it means incurring the rage of Republicans. As for Trump's claim that Leo is hurting the Church, in reality it's flourishing under his leadership. This past Easter, Catholic parishes saw a massive influx of new converts. The average diocese reported a 38% increase compared to last year. In some places those numbers were even more dramatic. The Archdiocese of Los Angeles saw a 139% increase. Perhaps that's why Trump is so angry at Leo. As the MAGA movement implodes under the weight of an unpopular war launched on Israel's behalf and a worsening Epstein scandal, the Catholic Church under this new pope is blossoming into an era of spiritual rebirth. The victory of the opposition in Hungary yesterday, like the Polish election in 2023, is a victory for democracy, not just in Europe but around the world. Most of all, it’s a testament to the resilience and determination of the Hungarian people – and a reminder to all of us to keep striving for fairness, equality and the rule of law.

Too on point not to share, “Aussie reply to Trump rant about NATO not being there for us. Mate. You run a country with 600,000 homeless people sleeping on the street tonight. A country where 40% of adults can't cover a $400 emergency without borrowing money. A country where insulin costs more than a car payment and people are rationing it to survive. A country where medical debt is the number 1 cause of bankruptcy. A country where women are dying in hospital car parks because doctors are too scared of abortion laws to treat a miscarriage. You lock up more of your own citizens than any nation on earth. More than China. More than Russia. More than North Korea. The land of the free has 2 million people in cages, and a quarter of them haven't even been convicted of anything. They're just too poor to make bail. Your life expectancy is going backwards. You're the only developed nation where that's happening. Your infant mortality rate is worse than Cuba's. And you're calling Greenland poorly run? Greenland has universal healthcare. Free education. One of the lowest incarceration rates in the world. Nobody goes bankrupt there because they got sick. Nobody dies in a waiting room because their insurance said no. "NATO wasn't there when we needed them." When exactly was that, champ? September 11? Because NATO invoked Article 5 for the first and only time in history FOR YOU. Soldiers from dozens of countries deployed, fought, bled, and died in Afghanistan FOR YOU. Australia wasn't even in NATO and we still showed up. For 20 years. And you pulled out at 2am without telling anyone and left them to deal with the mess. So maybe before you start calling other countries poorly run, have a look at your own backyard, you spray-tanned aluminium siding salesman.
