I went to little man's 1 month appointment the other day carrying him with a diaper shoved in one coat pocket and travel wipes in the other, I can't believe how much stuff I used to carry around for my babies! I keep a diaper bag in the car but I hardly take it in anywhere by default, only if I know I'll be there for awhile and coming back to the van would be onerous.

Don’t misunderstand me. I did it for my first three babies. And I shouldn’t have. I can just carry the baby and it’s fine.

8 year old just gave me her birthday list: -A 3D target for bow shooting -New markers -Lunch at her favorite Mexican restaurant -Another baby but a girl one I'm a month postpartum. Apparently her brother isn't as fun to dress up as a girl baby.

@JulieLovesFluff It’s horrible when you come to a realisation like that isn’t it. Does baby also react to cows milk? It’s very common for soy and cows milk to occur together.

Baby had such a rough night last night, he was up every hour just fussing and my husband just pointed out the last time he did this was when we had stir fry for dinner and that's what we had last night too so I'm thinking it might be a soy allergy, I feel terrible for him. We don't eat much soy because we make nearly all our food at home but stir fry has literal soy sauce in it 😭

We finally stopped trying because its so demoralizing, my husband had several surgeries to reattach severed muscles and tendons from an accident where his arm got caught in machinery when someone turned it on while he had it locked out and even though the army paid for the surgeries on base while he was deployed somehow the loss of range of motion and other effects isn't service related, meanwhile my neighbors son in law who never deployed has 70% disabled due to anxiety from being a truck driver in fucking Missouri.

After 12 years of appeal after appeal after appeal, the VA has once again denied my husband’s disability claim. He served multiple combat deployments, had a helo land on his head and compress his spine, slept next to toxic burn pits. And they denied his claim. I’m about to be sick.

I love my kids and I love being a mom but I’m ngl I’m straight up not having a good time in this phase. Threenager who cries all day long and needy teething 11 month old with separation anxiety.

@peachtard The only people I know who keep their kids in car seats past toddlerhood are liberals with one kid. We go from car seat (3ish) to a booster (from 4-6 depending on weight/ height) to nothing (once a seat belt fits properly, usually around 5 or 6).

so are people actually keeping their kids in car seats until they're 8? or does it just depend on the child's size?? this is one of those discourses I know literally nothing about and I have no plan for when my baby outgrows his doona

There are different types of wheat you can grow, the most common are hard red wheat, hard white wheat (both high gluten, great for breads, red wheat has a nuttier flavor) soft white wheat and soft red wheat (low protein, good for noodles and pastries) and they all come in whole wheat (where the entire grain kernel is milled) and white wheat (milled without the bran for softer bread with less fiber).
