@bennyjohnson @PeytonWate4693 He should have endorsed @Philip_Sarnecki who is a successful businessman for Kansas Governor instead of a career politician. It’s okay for President Trump to be wrong on this one cause I figure he got some bad advice 🤷🏻‍♀️

@thistle_ki35141 @Philip_Sarnecki He was very impressive! He even discussed the data center issue with me and my husband and said he will talk with his communications team about clearing up the somewhat confusing post.

It’s interesting how many ppl are upset about it online when in real life just about everyone I have talked to wants this …. Cause they are just tired of switching and how that can take weeks or months to adjust to. They honestly don’t care if it’s standard or DS …… just have one we go by.

Today I’m announcing my plan to pass a 5-year moratorium for AI data centers in Kansas. This plan will stop massive AI data centers from entering a county without approval from its residents. The first job of Governor is to protect the people of Kansas. If the residents in a county don’t want an AI data center, then a company shouldn’t be able to build a data center in that county.

@sharicedavids Spreading lies should have the consequence that you will lose your House seat but apparently the voters in Kansas City don’t care?

The folks I hear from want lower grocery prices, cheaper healthcare, and relief at the gas pump. Not a taxpayer-funded White House ballroom.

This is a big deal. Data centers will bring us free utilities, pilot our flying cars, control the border, and enable our AI and robot slaves. Everything is about to change. Resisting the future doesn’t make it go away. It’ll just flow right on by without a second thought. Best to ride the wave than try to catch up.

@JulieScharping @Philip_Sarnecki I’m not anti data center. I don’t care either way. But I think people have the right to say no if they don’t want one in their county for whatever reason

@Philip_Sarnecki @thistle_ki35141 5 years is wild even though the bullet points are great, the general public has a negative perception of data centers due to all these misinformation being spread

@thistle_ki35141 @Philip_Sarnecki The problem being how many people still think data centers take so much water when they do not now with the closed loop system. Perhaps the ignorance is what has kept them from being built in our county?

@Philip_Sarnecki Kinda surprised at how many pro-data center republicans there are in these comments. Also, he’s not banning them entirely, he’s letting counties put it to a vote…seems reasonable to me.

@JulieScharping @Philip_Sarnecki He’s not banning data centers. He’s leaving it up to the county and local governments if a county doesn’t want a data center then why should they be forced to?

@Sassafrass_84 Giving yourself a day or so of grace when the house is still again takes practice for sure. That’s been my experience anyway. There’s a terrific book titled, “Slowing Down to the Speed of Joy” that helps me a lot! Good luck and God bless you & your family!!

I hate a quiet home. For the last 4 days, my house was filled with kids and their friends. In and out. Today, it's quiet. Does it ever get better?

@Arkypatriot I’ve now concluded that the same dumbass mind sets that shut down businesses and schools in 2020 are the ones for permanent dst in 2026

People are not getting this. In January, most of the country gets roughly 9–10 hours of daylight no matter what we call the clock. Example: STANDARD TIME: ☀️ Sunrise: ~7:15 AM 🌅 Sunset: ~5:00 PM PERMANENT DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME: ☀️ Sunrise: ~8:15 AM 🌅 Sunset: ~6:00 PM That is the SAME amount of daylight. You did not gain sunlight. You just moved the clock one hour later and created darker mornings in winter. The sun doesn’t change. The clock does

One nuanced point about DST - it used to ONLY happen once there was enough daylight that the mornings wouldn’t be so affected. It would shift when the sun would rise between 4:30 and 5:30 so “springing ahead” wasn’t as drastic as the sun would rise at 6:30 max. And then we would shift back when the days got shorter and just stick with the sun. The real issue came when the gold and candy lobbies pushed for DST to begin almost a month earlier and over a month later to accommodate Halloween. Consumerism trumped human health. I hate changing the clocks too but I’d be more amenable to doing it June - mid September than almost 3/4 of the year!

It’s imperative that we revert to STANDARD, not Daylight time, for two reasons, one of which you may have never considered. You know the first: solar noon is closest to 12 o’clock all year. That means an equal number of hours before and after noon each day. This also means earlier sunrises which are significantly better for establishing a healthy circadian rhythm. The second reason is that nearly ONE THIRD of US counties are in the wrong timezone. A significant swath of the country isn’t only an artificial hour ahead because of daylight time… but TWO HOURS ahead of true solar time. Year-round daylight time, especially without recalibrating time zones, would establish this error permanently, affecting millions of Americans. We should be letting the Sun dictate the day the way God made it. Arbitrary, artificial tampering would be worse for us all. Fix the time zones and affix standard time.
