Find details of the other cabinet roles here: pulse.ly/sqoogdqxoy
Speaking at the meeting, Cllr Qayyum said: "The Cabinet I am announcing today is built on three clear principles. Strong leadership and accountability, collaboration and shared responsibility and a clear focus on delivery for residents.
“We are here to make a difference. And to do that, this Cabinet will focus relentlessly on the priorities that matter most. Protecting vital frontline services, driving economic growth and jobs, supporting our most vulnerable residents, improving the environment and the places people call home, and ensuring we are open, transparent, and accountable in everything we do."

I hope this isn’t true. There are times when it’s more important to put country before party. This is one of them. Burnham’s longstanding commitment to a fairer voting system could transform our democracy & counter dire threat of a Reform UK government theguardian.com/politics/2026/…

@PTstephenB @PaulStainton A lot of the anti-Green comments appear to come from bots. I feel for them as it was never like that when I was in the party. Of course, it comes from their growth in popularity. But no one from any party should be targetted like that. It puts skilled people off politics.
English

@JulieStevoPR @PaulStainton Yeah, I've just cleared all the comments from that one...
English

@PaulStainton @PTstephenB Not long after I was elected, a rumour was started on there that I secretly drive a car. I have never owned a car, had a driving lesson or held a driving license. But no, I was told I was *definitely* seen driving a car. Must have been my stunt double.😆

@PTstephenB Sadly mate the genie is out of the bottle - negative and nasty is how some choose to live their lives these days
English

@PTstephenB It gets worse & worse. I ran an online community for 20 years, before the days of 'social media' and these mega SM platforms. Their owners simply don't care about wellbeing. People can be safeguarded, they just don't consider it a priority (ad revenue being the priorty).

I'm delighted that Alex has taken the seat that I vacated. Thank you for voting for him. He's a lovely person with a lot of skills that I'm sure will prove invaluable here.

@GrnElects Are you referring to these tweets that you sent me on 23rd March 2024? I lodged them with the police and my solicitor at the time. (@NicolaDay78 let's take this up with national, please).

@JulieStevoPR Remember when you bullied councillors and party members. You won’t be missed by anyone

Our electoral process is difficult to explain at the best of times. How to explain how the Conservatives got only 316 votes at last week's election (compared to the winner who got 1187 and the runners up who got 897 and 559 respectively) yet we now have a Conservative councillor.

@Kingwolf84 Perhaps she's finally found her spiritual home, even though their leader describes her in the PT as being one of 'all kinds of people' which hardly sounds like a compliment. #TickTock

@JulieStevoPR Not even natural bed fellows Greens & Conservatives.... 🤷 Also isn't there issues over conduct to be finalised or is that closed?
English

We've gone from a Green and two independents, to two Greens and one independent, to two Greens and one Conservative in the space of three days, despite only one seat (the one I vacated) being contested.

Day one off the council and time for coffee with a friend and a walk with the dog. Still picked up some other dog's poo and litter from the street though, didn't I? #DogPooWoman 😇

@JimMooreJourno Thank you, Jim. Not for the faint of heart, this lark. Particularly if principled. 😇
English

@JulieStevoPR Tis bonkers. We have wards in Redbridge with three councillors, and with two. Similarly crazy.
PS: I wouldn't vote Green. But I would have voted for you. Peterborough's loss. Too few people with disabilities in politics. but also, your commitment to your city was so clear
