@PulmCrit I ask patients to fluid restrict, what if cardiorenal patient drinks >3 L a day?, drink ad librium may not be the answer, on my point of view, strict restriction it is not sustainable, drink as per thirst likely better, a low salt diet, also if no control likely is overdrinking

I've been saying this for a long time Using fluid restriction to treat heart failure is ineffective and unkind Patients will inevitably drink ad librium when they go home, you need to figure out how to treat their heart failure in a sustainable way #DiuresisJedi

@CraigCCRNCEN mostly yes. enteral fluid resuscitation isn't standard if there is an adequate supply of IV fluid.
