To run a back 3, defensively especially.
You need 3 defenders consisting of;
A build up
A destroyer
A defensive full back.
It just works, for both solidity, pressure and aggression.
The build up would stay back, move forward when needed
The destroyer, press aggressively, go hard into tackles
While the defensive full back, always the last man tracking runs from the opposition.
Build for Baresi, 90 speed 90 acceleration — all defensive stats still on 95+ , aggression not really important for build ups.
Same for Pepe , 92 speed 86 acceleration
All defensive stats high on 95+
Wan B, is arguably the fastest
Good defensive awareness, tackling, aggression, and engagements.

My top 5 players, -most important player - match winning player - best defensively - underrated workhorses - The special one — most important player goes to the one and only, Ruud Gullit. Stopped running, kinda rolled his eyes and threw his hands up in the air after a defensive error.

Anyone blaming Marc Guehi for that error is missing the point. He had no clear passing option, the midfield was completely disorganized. Nico Gonzalez was nowhere to be found. As the number 6, he should be collecting loose balls, providing an outlet from defence, and controlling the tempo, but he failed to do all of that. He was practically a spectator in the game.
