This essentially mirrors my experience with streaming. On top of earnings from Twitch, factor in the self-employment tax and then you’ll understand why, unless you’re in the .1% of live steamers, having a stable job is so needed as a content creator. Wish it weren’t so 😣

People have been asking me to post my monthly revenue on Twitch because they cant believe a Partnered streamer makes so little 😂😂 (I'd counter that I cant believe I make ANY money on twitch and I'm grateful for every penny as this is a hobby for me and I have my fulltime job to help not pressure my community to gift) It is interesting to note that I made more money as an affiliate than a Partner. I think people stop gifting to "medium" sized creators because they think they have a lot of money and the smaller creators need it/appreciate it more. Im not asking for more money or sympathy, just I've been bullied into posting this. So do what you'd like with this information; all im saying is enjoy where your at and realize that partner doesn't mean more money/fun/opportunities, even with the extra revenue split and emotes. Note** I made $55 in donations all month as well.
