Today's data has slightly later timing of showers/storms on Friday, mainly coming in the afternoon/evening. So there may be an opportunity for on-track activity Friday morning/early afternoon. Rain chance still looks low for race day. #Indy500

IMO @DanicaPatrick was by a large margin the Best female race car driver of all time. It’s an absolute shame she doesn’t get more credit or recognition from the racing community.

@matt_gottshall @bryanhasling The saying goes, for the regular golfer, country club membership is a terrible investment; your monthly dues are easy to calculate budget for "twice as much as it is every month" after taxes tipping and other fees.

As a golf fanatic, I knew I always wanted to join a country club, which I did in 2022
But the perception of a club always bothered me, as did the lack of cost transparency

@KendoVT I've been a member of many country clubs...my advice, take that $400 monthly dues and practically double it every month to set up budget that's realistic. As they say joining a country club is NEVER a good deal for the regular golfer. Your cost per round is astronomical.

A local country club is offering no initiation fee and only $400 a month dues. Cancel anytime. Not the best CC but that is crazy pricing. Since I’m about to be unemployed, I’m thinking about joining and playing golf every day for a month before I look for another job. Then cancel

@RDSBarath The problem is board members all paid it years ago that's why they're on the board now and they'll be damned if they're going to let any new members join without paying any initiation fee of equal or more than they did.

Do we think the private club model will ever change from having an oversized initiation fee?
I get the waiting lists, but with more people in the younger demographic moving around for work, the list upfront cost seems like a gamble if you move.
