@Mae1776 The mental health system is also a mess. Insurance limits stays from 3 days to a few weeks. Facilities are sparse and understaffed. People are pushed out w/out aftercare and follow up. It’s something we’ve been seeing since Columbine.

Why doesn’t #Maine have red flag laws? Robert Card, the #Lewiston shooter, spent time in the mental hospital and threatened to commit a mass shooting. Why was he allowed to keep his guns? As a conservative, THIS is what I mean when I say I support common sense gun laws.

@JustChristine5 I used it here to convey a hoax 911 call that triggers an outsized police response. Local and state units responded, multiple vehicles, multiple officers I believe. Not sure if SWAT was called out, though.

This may be a first - 'active shooter', aka some asshole with a gun killing people, or trying to at least, is at St. John's Prep School, where a friend of mine went, in Danvers, MA. Danvers police and MA SP are on scene. What a country we live in, folks.
