We shouldn’t have to live like this, begging to HOAs and municipalities to have chickens. Every home in America should legally be able to possess chickens. We need a second amendment for chickens.

@DiaryofaSickGrl This is true for me as well. I have to wear shoes with orthotics after breaking both feet. Clothes that aren’t too hot. Very little makeup.

One of the frustrating parts about chronic illness is it affects how I express myself. The clothes and shoes I wear, how I do my hair and makeup, the purses/bags I carry, the jewelry I wear…

@RealTalk8386 Just finished planting a flower garden, in honor of our little dog that died last summer. I cannot wait to see all of the blooms. Gladiolus, Dahlias, Peonies, Daisies and wildflowers. Will add some pretty stones and waterers for bees and butterflies.

We love seeing people doing their part to help our pollinators. Every flower planted, every patch of "weeds" left to grow, every small effort adds up to a healthier world for the bees, butterflies, and so much more!

@DiaryofaSickGrl I drink two 30 gram protein drinks a day. That’s 60…eat another meal and snack with protein and you’ll hit 100 easily.

Ok I switched from tracking calories to tracking protein. The first time I tracked it I only got about 46.5 g of protein for the day. Today I’m at 71.25 g and will probably get a few grams from a snack. But now am I gonna gain weight from trying to fit in all this protein? Sigh.

In 1984 when I came down with symptoms, there was no such diagnosis as POTS. They referred to it as “Soldier’s Heart” and migraines in my chart. While it’s much more widely known among physicians now than it was 10 years ago, this illness needs much more funded research from NIH. It’s not uncommon, especially now. I would love to see research in genetics on this. It runs in my family and I know other families that have the predisposition as well. While viruses can bring it out, I wonder how many people already had the predisposition to it.

2026 research is STILL confirming the massive post-COVID POTS surge. The new JACC Advances study found most Long COVID tachycardia cases were actually POTS or POTS/IST overlap, with brain fog, nausea, and symptoms that go way beyond just heart rate. We’re talking 1 in 3 highly symptomatic Long COVID patients meeting POTS criteria. At the same time, post-Covid POTS diagnoses have surged enough that the medical system can’t ignore the condition anymore.
