This is who runs this account. Just two people who started paying attention and didn’t like what we were seeing. The more convenient everything became, the further we drifted from what actually keeps us well... real food, real effort, real connection to where things come from. It wasn’t some big turning point. We just began making different choices where we could. Cooking more, growing what we can, asking more questions, buying local, and wasting less. Not perfect. Just more aware of what we’re part of, and choosing a little better each day.

I have set aside so many weeds to being back and identify today in the chamomile beds!!! 😃🥰 Can't wait to find out. I feel like I found a celery plant!! 😂 There is so much stuff out there!!!! In the mint bed she has one Anise hyssop! Its her pride and joy. 😅 I am enjoying being out there. So many butterflies. Kitchen garden is on hold till they figure their stuff out. Can't decide on sprinkler or irrigation now lol. Her poor tomatoes are going to die 😬

You can grow the wild form of rocket (arugula) and never have to sow or plant it again. It’s a bit smaller with a more intense, peppery flavor, but it comes back year after year as a reliable perennial.

I genuinely enjoy weeding. It slows things down and brings you up close with all the little thing! Tiny flowers, busy insects, new growth, and all the details that are easy to miss from a distance. 🌼

Spending some time out in the herb field today with the chamomile 🌼 Weeding and preparing another 100ft for more chamomile planting, while giving some attention to the already established bed that is beginning to flower!! 😍
