@JustEricWalker you'll know or have an opinion. The abolition of section 21, is it legally wrong? How is it possible to remove the notice to end a contract to occupy a home for a fixed, short term? Isn't that changing assured shorthold tenancies into assured tenancies

@Robert_May_ A tenant cant agree to a 6 month tenancy. A landlord who offers a 6 month tenancy could be subject to a £5k fine. There is no mechanism to end the tenancy without breach of contract unless the landlord wishes to sell or let to a close family member.

@JustEricWalker Not sure I follow , can a tenant who " " agrees " " to a 6 months tenancy (with their fingers crossed behind their back and avoiding eye contact) who announces they want to stay there forever be asked to leave on the date agreed without confrontation and a lengthy legal dispute?
