I am a muslim, and in the UK. I have never think about 50-50. She hasn't been working (more than 2 years) due to child care and we are doing okay.
I gave her my salary, pay bills and we save the rest.
When she was working, we combine everything, and she holds what is left to save.
I am a muslim and a Northerner, we have never had any issue over money or I am working more.
If I had the means , wallah, I would prefer her to remain at home whilst I fend for us.
She wants to work and I will support her.
A northern man is a provider, and we don't break. Alhamdulillah, our women always come through and we don't talk about 50 50 at all.
Any amount coming to the home is for the family.
Laslty, I am an Igala man. We are strong men 😀
May Allah continue to make it easy for us.

@UcheMaryOkoli I asked a colleague at work who is a muslim why they are killing Christians. Her response was, “those killing Christians are not muslims” I just went quiet and kept to myself. I couldn’t start arguing with her because it’s a corporate environment. Moderate muslims are enablers

I know a lot of Nigeria men who are ready to do it all, not even 99/1, I mean the entire 100/0. I’ve seen them, I know them and Alhamdulillah I’m proudly one of them. I just pray that as a man who fall in this category, you are doing life with a woman who will be ever ready to do 100/0 for you too if situation warrants it, a woman that will not think twice before she drop all her money to finance the house if need be, either in abroad or in home country.
Because the way some of these women make it look like helping husband is a taboo is so concerning walai.
