Lets try to tackle this stance w/ a quick google search shall we:
2015: C9 is 3rd seed, strongest performing NA team.
2016: C9 is 3rd seed, strongest performing NA team. Makes it to knockouts alongside sole EU team H2k (who faces Albus Nox for a free run to semis)
2017: C9 is 3rd seed, strongest performing NA team. Takes WE to 5 in knockouts.
2018: That's right; C9 is 3rd seed, strongest performing NA team. Beats Afreeca to make it to semis, loses to Finalist Fnatic.
2020: TL is 3rd seed, just as strong as seed 2 FLY.
2021: C9 is 3rd seed, defeats Rogue & FPX to make knockouts alongside sole EU rep MAD. By far the strongest NA rep.

@T90Official The average viewer is a casual who cares more about novelty than excellent gameplay.
That's why the map pools are getting increasingly gimmicky and every tournament is full of complaints that Hera won.
English

@TheViperAOE @paradox303_ Possibly true, although it was more than just this one series. The final round had a lot of bad / pointless matches because of format flaws. (Lierrry Sebastian, daut Mihai).
Other esports use GSL groups to avoid these problems and make every match count.
English

@JustJakattack @paradox303_ Might not be fair to the rest of the bracket; but in this specific situation it’s the only way to make both players play with competitive integrity.
English

@TheViperAOE @paradox303_ That wouldn't be fair to the winner of the other 2nd/3rd place clashes, they can't all pick their opponents.
Random would be the only fair way to do if committed to having a round of 12.
English

@paradox303_ These exact situations are easily solved by allowing the winner of their match to pick which of the two brackets he enters.
Very unfortunate situation.

So Ive seen a lot of comments on the tie breaker rules in warlords
Feedback from players, participants of the event and even viewers. Including Reddit posts
What do you guys think?
Should tournaments have a system like this moving forward? How would you improve it?
Do you think it has major issues? Is it the ideal system?
Ill read you!
English

@ClarkHELLSCREAM @iNS4NE_HS @TicTac_HS It's not unfair at all, because the sponsors you desire for tournaments can expect the same treatment from blizzard (0 advertising) that the main events get.
The YouTube deal did massive damage to the landscape and I hope the viewership and support increase, but don't expect it.
English

@JustJakattack @iNS4NE_HS @TicTac_HS But that's exactly why it's impressive that this event pulled the viewership it did, with no advertising, barely any events this year, but the community still wants to see more tournaments and has been very vocal about it.
The Watch Parties are a great example of that.
English

@iNS4NE_HS @TicTac_HS A cursory glance shows that as still lower than some (not all) tour stops from 2018. So it's not really misinformation, although I think you just didn't like my tone.
I simply doubt you'll get events like the heyday given the viewership is lower and esports winter is raging.
English

@JustJakattack @TicTac_HS Are you aware that there were like 20+ watch parties for the MT? Feno and Pocket had 2.5-3k viewers + Solary 2k+ a lot more so I think we can safely assume peak viewership was at least 35k which is not bad for a "dying" 10 year old game with 0 advertisement
English

@iNS4NE_HS @TicTac_HS Wish that was true. Peak viewers says about 21k as far as I can see. Feel free to post a correction if you have better info.
English

@TicTac_HS @iNS4NE_HS Not likely, given the viewership collapse. A masters tour in 2024 gets less viewership than a weekly tour stop in 2018.
English

@iNS4NE_HS Hoping that there is a way to make community tournaments with actual cash prizes with sponsors in the future, sadly atm apart from lans and the occasional Solary tourneys there really isn’t much
English

@coachseeel Brazil has historically taken wins against Korean and Chinese teams, how is the current level getting better every year? This is just comparing their current level to their 2020 dip.
English

This might be the first time I get some @PlayHearthstone swag, and it fits! And the bottle has been clutched on my walks. Thank you❤️

@JustJakattack @Sottle I wonder if Blizzard consulted people from the LGBTQ+ community to see what people actually wanted in that situation. I honestly don’t know, as a cis male games have always represented me very well but I know that hasn’t always been the case for others.
English

Nonono __ answers that in the comments. __ says that religion in a game isn't forcing someone to convert to religious ideology but asking to select a pronoun IS forcing someone to convert to pronoun ideology.
__ is very clear on this point.
(Pronouns removed out of respect.)

@Sottle I wonder how he would feel if Christianity was banned in video games
English

@JustJakattack @Sottle Haha yeah I noticed that when I was creating my hardcore classic toon. I seem to recall they had male/female symbols before?
English

@JustJakattack @Sottle Well that changes everything haha
I’m still in the camp of, it will mean a lot to some people, so why not be happy for them. People should chill and enjoy the game
English

@Hera_Aoe @GamerLegion How many big tournaments would you need to win to dethrone viper as the goat, would live his opinion on it too.
English
