“The Arabs are in the Kibbutz. Farewell.” This was not from the October 7 Massacre, but was the final cable from the May 1948 Kfar Etzion Massacre. 148 Jews were killed with some of the women r*ped first. 50 of the Jewish villagers surrendered and were told by the Arabs - primarily locals from nearby al-Dawayima and Beit Jibrin - to pose for a photo. But instead of cameras, they pulled out machine guns and murdered 46 of them. The remaining four were taken hostage. The Arabs then stripped the bodies of the massacred Jews naked, hacked them with knives, and mutilated them - including beheadings, castrations, and the removal of limbs or organs with gouged out eyes and severed genitals being taken as trophies. Gruesome photographs of the mutilated bodies were sold openly in Jerusalem's Old City the next day for profit.
