This has been one of the more difficult issues that I have attempted to take on in my career as a State Senator. Currently Missouri has 29 abandoned landfills leaking leachate and other toxins onto adjacent properties while poisoning our rivers and springs. In addition to the plan I put into place referenced in this report, I also filed legislation that would finally establish the neccesary framework and funding to address these environmental disasters after decades of stagnation. Please contact your Representative and Senator and ask them to support HB 2761 and SB 1586!

Why would Rep @HagemanforWY want to push a brand new RECA bill to cover JUST her area in WY when Senator @HawleyMO + @SenatorLujan’s RECA bill already covers it as well as other harmed communities and has passed the Senate? This is just virtue signaling off of poisoned patriots!

I don’t remember the @ENERGY US Department of Energy having to be “responsible” with their radioactive wastes when they poisoned the STL/St. Charles regions over 80 years ago and continue to leave their radioactive waste here!!
