@JohnAllenCasts Depends on the material the stick is made of. The stick will compress along its length before the other end moves. I think the speed of that is equal to the speed of sound through the given material.

Alright, real brain hours. If you have a hypothetical stick that is 1 light year long in a vacuum with no gravity, if you push one end, would the other end move simultaneously?
