NAR has agreed to a settlement in order to get business back on track for its members to be able to provide needed services to their clients, but not because they are guilty of any wrongdoing. I am a real estate broker in the small West Texas town of Plainview, Texas, and have been marketing real estate for selling clients and assisting buying clients for over 40 years.  I'm been a member of the National Association of Realtors since 1981, since I got my real estate license, because NAR offers a way for real estate agents and brokers to operate their business under a strict Code of Ethics and Bylaws.  The idea NAR "sets commission amounts" is ludicrous.  The lawsuit to that effect is ludicrous!
