£2 million. On a roundabout. Not even a new road, just a redesigned junction in Hemel Hempstead. This Dutch style layout prioritises cyclists and pedestrians, forces drivers to give way multiple times, and is so confusing the council had to release a 3 minute explainer video just to show people how to use it. Meanwhile, roads crumble, services struggle, and bills rise. This isn’t investment. It’s mismanagement.

I pushed back on this as there is obviously a construction and maintenance cost. "Everyone" may pay for the roads, but car drivers pay extra by way of annual tax and duty on fuel, why?

Let's all agree cyclists should pay Vehicle Excise Duty like car drivers have to. To be consistent we should calculate it using the same methods applied to motorised vehicles. Cyclists do not create emissions and do not damage the road. Therefore the charge comes to zero. Result.

Yesterday I mixed my own seasoning for the next 3 months. About 700ml worth, most of which needed grinding in the mortar first. I'm in so much pain today 🙈 Talk about a wankers cramp.. (YOU try crushing a cup of Himalayan rock salt to a fine grind!)

Very narrow sub 1 metre bike lane. Narrow main lane with double solids around a blind corner. Where to ride? 1. In the gutter risking an 'I'm in my lane' close pass. 2. I metre out in secondary (on the dotted white line). 3. Primary in the centre of the main lane.

I once had a fight with my then-boyfriend (now ex), because I refused to have s£x with him one night. The most annoying part was that I was on my period, but he insisted I was just wearing a pad to deceive him. I got really upset and, out of anger, spoke to him harshly. He responded by slapping me, and it escalated into a full fight. He injured me badly that night, and I ended up destroying most of his valuables. His neighbors eventually intervened, and I slept at one of their houses. I left the next morning and blocked him everywhere. He was just a dog, and I don’t understand why some men act like they’ll d!e without s£x.

Bit more 3D printer love 1/2 Glueing piles of ply sheets together perfectly straight is a ballache with tremors, so printed these corner jigs with pins (removable). Done on the underside of the screenprinting table, I can just glue and drop now 😁
