@Kirk9580 Well, considering that the latest reports said that the film was still adrift, without a script and that they didn't know what to do, announcing that the search for the protagonist has officially begun means that they are actually quite far along in the production process.

@NickKao13 @SpyHards Tbf thats nothing to do with MGM Amazon. Since they taken creative control they have moved quite quickly with producers, director and writer and the deal was only officially signed in May last year.

@klast00 I mean we don't know but I'd imagine conversations have been had etc ..I don't think this is the call for people to apply, I assume this is the more formal stage when maybe the few actors they have in mind will screen test. If this was day 1 of looking I'd be worried 😬

@JustSpringY84 And I'm fine with them at since it was nighttime. But the dark, oversized vignette continued even in the later daytime scenes. It was like my eyes were suffocating.

I'm okay with Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. My expectations were tempered from the get-go. My major pet peeve with the movie was that it was so oddly dark. It was like the whole movie was shot looking through a keyhole. Am I the only one that thinks that?

@RealMarlinsFan I still think October time, maybe James Bond Day Think Daniel Craig went through months and months of tests and auditions before landing the role. Guess it depends on if they already narrowed it down to only a few options

@hangonjames1967 Writing the script and planning the direction hopefully. They were never going to cast until the script was finshed and I'm sure they were looking at actors, this is probably the start of the main auditions, actually meeting and do scenes with actors (but that is just a guess)
