Sorry in advance for the sad post. I just feel so defeated. I've tried so hard ever since year 1 to be a guest at offkai, because it means so much more to me than just a normal con or even a "vtuber con". It's my local area, the one I grew up in, that I love showing people around, that I love helping friends visiting in. But ...even though you've all spent so much time every year requesting me, cheering for me, it's never happened...I just can't be good enough. It feels like I can't achieve this meaningful goal ever, and every year I just let you guys down. I'm sorry. I really wish I wasn't me.

The fact that the conversation is about “my oshi disappeared without saying anything and I’m mad about it” and not “my oshi disappeared without saying anything and I hope they’re okay” really tells a lot about the vtuber industry. It’s always okay to unsubscribe. Always. Whether your streamer isn’t streaming is streaming differently than they used to, your finances changed, you stopped interacting, whatever. It’s all fine. The lack of concern and immense amount of public criticism without a hint of care as to why streams stopped so suddenly is what bothers me. The vtuber sphere is just such a callous space.

Here is a simplified list of accusations against Sinder that some people are still spreading. With this many false accusations made by big figures in the scene, the 1000 pages doc is not unfathomable.

This is unacceptable. We need to stop making excuses for Saba now that she’s indie. Hiatuses happens. Life happens. But communicate with your viewers. A tweet or a community post letting them know what’s happening takes 5 minutes of your day and is all they needed. Leaving them hanging and taking their money in the process is heartbreaking. I feel terrible for her community. I’m so sorry. You’re within your rights to cancel your membership. I would have done the same.

She is claiming to have already taken legal action against the associated parties, already sent everything, and waiting on the courts to take action. If you look at the content of the video, there is nothing in there that required back-channel coordination, and all the information in the video was already publicly known... meanwhile, that same coordination that Pink is accusing TBYS of, Mizkif and others did against the accused, Tectone, with exclusive and early release biased documents that were not available to the public. But here is the crux of the claim. Travis County Court at Law #4 and Judge Dimple Malhotra are well known in legal circles for judicial bias. The judge has a 25+ year background as a prosecutor, specifically as Chief Prosecutor of the Travis County DA’s Family Violence Unit... which is basically the opposite of a neutral outsider. Between 2019 and 2020, the Austin criminal defense lawyers' association filed a complaint against Court #4 for a lack of impartiality, citing undue influence from domestic violence advocacy groups, with a culture that heavily favors the accusers. In September 2020, she was formally recused from a protective order case, citing her social media posts, campaign stances, and advocacy history as evidence of bias. A visiting judge, Dan Mills, agreed there was enough evidence of bias and kicked her off the case. In the TBYS video, he claims that the 10-year protective order is the predictable outcome of a courtroom with a documented track record of pro-accuser bias in these civil “reasonable grounds” hearings. In the broader sense, this kind of judicial bias in non-criminal family court rulings is not only common now, but it's also basically the norm, where the male accused is at a massive insurmountable disadvantage, even if there is clear evidence that the accuser is lying. In Texas, protective orders like this are granted 75-80% of the time. Her original winning protective order was under the low “reasonable preponderance” standard in a specialized and biased DV court. But going after a YouTuber like TBYS for doing what dramatubers do is a much higher legal bar. She’s been sitting on it for about 2 months since the video dropped, and this doesn’t look like a strong follow-up case. To me... it looks more like frustration with the negative coverage that is being reframed as “illegal harassment.” What she needs to prove is that it has to be beyond the First Amendment protections with actual-malice standards for defamation, since it is a public figure drama. She will also have to prove that Tectone or anyone else bound by the protective order actively orchestrated the video behind the scenes. Unless new evidence drops that reveals real coordination, then this is another nothing burger.

That video by TBYS 100% was a hit piece. A bad one. If Pink gets him in jail for that I 100% will be dying. Tectone is a retard and choose to continue fighting.

I dabbled in coding once and the complete inability to get more experienced programmers to understand that I wanted my stuff as efficient as possible was a major factor in deciding not to pursue it further. It was literally impossible. Every solution they offered amounted to 'add this million line external function library to your codebase and just use the 0.001% that is relevant to your needs'. Drove me mad. I don't care if the game I'm coding for can run on a smart watch nowadays, I WANT IT TO RUN EFFICIENTLY.
