the pokemon that couldn’t evolve or trade back in 2010, when heartgold and soulsilver launched, gamestop gave out a special shiny pikachu-colored pichu as a limited event. most trainers just boxed it as a rare trophy. but this pichu was the secret key to a special event. if you placed that exact event pichu at the front of your party and visited the ilex forest shrine, a hidden cutscene played. a unique spiky-eared pichu would jump out from the bushes and join your team for free. but there was the twist. no matter how much this pichu leveled, it refused to evolve. professor elm in new bark town explained that it had time-traveled so much with celebi that its body was permanently frozen in this form. this little pichu had its own special overworld and battle sprites, different pokeathlon stats, and could even force transform to copy its spiky ear. shiny versions exist in the code, but the fixed personality value tied to players trainer id made them impossible to obtain. because this form never existed in later generations, the transfer system completely locked it out. spiky-eared pichu cannot be moved to black and white or any future game. every single one is trapped forever on its original heartgold or soulsilver cartridge.

@TimSweeneyEpic Pretty sure all we're hearing right now is a poor attempt at justifying the layoffs when these were people who put their hearts and souls into making and shaping Fortnite to the game it is now, starting from StW to the BR we know today.

In the coming days, employers will see a stream of resumes of once-in-a-lifetime quality folks. An important thing to understand is that Epic never lowered our hiring standards as we grew, and the layoff wasn't a performance-based "rightsizing" as companies call it nowadays. It's a sound bet that anyone with Epic Games on their resume is in the top few percent of their discipline.

@PokemonGoApp The Pokecoin gym reward system needs an update. My Pokémon sit in them for almost half a week till they're kicked out just to get 50 coins, a new system like every day it's in there it stacks another 50, or a daily claim if you're close to the gym is better than relying on chance

@FortniteStatus I tried the randomized loadout for emotes, and it doesn't seem to be working. I got the same set 2 times in a row (I have like 3-5 sets).

@FortniteStatus Is the sort-by intentionally supposed to reset to default or save your preference? Mine keeps resetting, so I have to keep selecting the sorting system I want in my locker.
