If you’ve missed the latest in the redistricting saga, use of Alabama’s previously blocked 2023 congressional map will be allowed in the coming election. This makes the state’s current 5-2 split of 2 Democratic seats as opposed to 5 Republican up for grabs, and clears the way for a 6-1 or 7-0. After the work of the legislature in the special session, this means a special primary election for Alabama’s 1st, 2nd, 6th, and 7th congressional districts August 11 with NO runoff. No changes will be made to the general election. @abc3340

Seeing that blue on my map makes me nauseous and I still have no explanation from Alabama Republicans as to why it's there. Tennessee went 9-0 with much bigger metros, so I don't see the reasoning in Alabama only going 6-1.
