Luke They took him young, just fifteen years, And left him trapped in walls of fears. A boy whose laughter should have soared, Confined in shadows, all ignored. The system spoke with papered lies, While truth was hidden from our eyes. Deception whispered through the halls, As innocence was made to crawl. His mother watched through endless nights, Enduring cruelty, wrongful fights. Each day a struggle, harsh and long, A boy undone by all that’s wrong. Locked in darkness, a cell so tight, A small world drowned in pain and spite, Whispers of torment, lies, disdain, And yet his spirit stayed the same. Her love stood firm, her courage bright, A guiding hand through darkest night. She bore the weight, she braved the pain, Her heart will never be the same. But truth survives where lies have tread, And justice waits to lift the dead. Moments of childhood stolen fast, The boy endures, his soul will last. Fifteen years, a life misread,
But hope survives where light has led. No rumor, headline, or false scene
Can dim the heart of fifteen. So hear our vow, so strong, so clear, The truth will rise, the end is near. No chain, no lie, no twisted plan Can break the boy, the innocent man.

If she is as straight as a die like they say she is, then the DNA samples in the Luke Mitchell case would have been handed over to the Scottish Criminal Cases Review Commission in 2013 when they requested them. No hesitation. No obstruction. Just full cooperation. Instead they stonewalled. And after being presented with 25,000 public signatures calling for an independent review of Luke’s case, that review could have been approved. Because if there’s nothing to hide, independent scrutiny shouldn’t be a threat. It was not even read. If she wants the Scottish Public to believe she’s not corrupt and is as straight as a die she can put an end to this case, and the misery and, hand over the samples for up to date testing - as a minimum. @COPFS @ScotGovFM @scotgov #JusticeforJodiJones

Luke Mitchell is effectively being treated as a political prisoner. The current Lord Advocate, Dorothy Bain, is married to Alan Turnbull, the prosecutor who led the case that secured Luke Mitchell’s conviction. Although Alan Turnbull may have stepped away from active involvement to allow her appointment, she now holds ultimate authority over decisions connected to cases prosecuted during his tenure. Even if no formal rule has been breached, the appearance of a conflict of interest is unavoidable. Public confidence in the justice system depends not only on fairness, but on the clear and visible absence of bias. When the chief legal officer of the country is responsible for decisions relating to cases in which her spouse played a central role, that confidence is inevitably damaged. This is why the structure itself must be questioned. The dual role of the Lord Advocate — as both head of prosecutions and a member of government — raises serious constitutional concerns. Many legal commentators have argued that the position should be separated from government to safeguard prosecutorial independence. Beyond legality, there is also the issue of principle. Public office carries a moral responsibility as well as a legal one. Where a situation gives rise to a clear and ongoing perception of conflict, the ethical course of action is to remove oneself from decision-making or to reform the structure that allows such conflicts to arise. If the justice system is to command trust, those at its highest levels must be seen to act not only within the rules, but in a way that upholds the highest moral standards. This is not about personal animosity. It is about integrity, transparency, and the public’s right to have absolute confidence in Scotland’s justice system. As long as the Lord Advocate has a duel role there is no confidence. Donate on the link below and let’s see how they decide to approach this ongoing political case. The public are watching 👀 (We have no affiliation with any political party) crowdjustice.com/case/help-brin…

Campaign Update We want to provide a brief update on Luke’s case. Work is ongoing behind the scenes, and the legal team continues to progress matters carefully and responsibly. These processes can take time, particularly when dealing with a case of this scale and history. While there is no major public development to announce at this moment, please be assured that efforts have not stopped. Significant work is being carried out, and we will share further information as soon as it is appropriate to do so. We remain fully committed to pursuing the next steps and are deeply grateful for the continued support and patience shown by everyone following the case. Thank you for standing with Luke.

*UPDATE* We want to update the public on the total funds committed to Luke Mitchell’s legal fees. Luke’s family have now contributed £25,000 of their own money toward his legal representation — a profound commitment made in the pursuit of justice. Alongside this, £30,740 has been raised in public donations via CrowdJustice (before platform fees). In total, £55,740 (before fees) has been committed to securing and sustaining top-tier legal work for Luke. Every contribution — from Luke’s family and from the public — goes directly toward the legal costs required to challenge an unsafe conviction. We remain deeply grateful to everyone who continues to stand with Luke and his family. Transparency remains at the heart of this campaign, and we will continue to keep you updated. #FreeLukeMitchell26 #JusticeMatters #Transparency Donate ⬇️ crowdjustice.com/case/help-brin…

So far, Luke’s CrowdJustice has raised £30,660 in the last 11 weeks for his fight against a wrongful conviction. That’s £398 a day or £2787 per week which is phenomenal. That figure isn’t just a number. It represents belief, compassion, and a collective refusal to accept injustice. This was only achievable because you — the public — chose to stand up, donate, share, and speak out for Luke when it mattered most. Reaching (and surpassing) the initial beginner’s target is a huge milestone. It means Luke can continue pursuing the legal work needed to challenge a conviction that should never have happened. It also sends a powerful message: Luke is not alone, and the truth is worth fighting for. Thanks to this incredible support, Luke’s fundraising will now be ongoing. The road to justice is long and complex, but this momentum gives real hope — hope that vital evidence can be properly examined, that failures can be exposed, and that Luke’s case can finally receive the scrutiny it deserves. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. Every donation, every share, and every message of support truly matters. Please continue to stand with Luke and help keep this fight moving forward. As the year comes to a close, we want to reflect on what has been a genuinely successful and important year for the Luke Mitchell campaign. This year, we achieved something vital: securing a new, top-tier and highly experienced legal team. This was a crucial step forward and ensures the case is being examined at the highest professional level, with the expertise and rigour it deserves. We also successfully launched the CrowdJustice campaign, giving the public a transparent and meaningful way to support Luke’s fight for justice. Thanks to an incredible response, we secured our initial funding target, putting the campaign on strong and sustainable footing and ensuring long-term support for the legal work ahead. Alongside this, awareness of Luke’s case has continued to grow, the evidential issues have received renewed scrutiny, and the groundwork has been laid for the next phase of legal progress. None of this would have been possible without the unwavering support of those who refuse to accept an unsafe conviction. Your belief, generosity, and persistence have made real change possible. Looking ahead, next year will be a big year for the campaign. Further work is already underway, and there are additional positive developments that we’ll share when the time is right. For now, thank you for standing with us. The momentum is real — and it’s building. More to come. #LukeMitchell #JusticeMatters #HappyNewYear Donate ⬇️ crowdjustice.com/case/help-brin…

💛 Funds Update When we launched Luke’s CrowdJustice campaign, it was truly all or nothing. We had just 30 days to raise £20,000 — if we didn’t hit that goal, the campaign would have been dissolved, and all money raised returned. With only five days left, we did it, with your help — and that incredible achievement gave Luke the ability to continue funding his legal fight.
We can’t thank everyone enough for standing with us and making that possible. 📄 Funds Transferred:
As confirmed by CrowdJustice, a total of £20,883.46 has now been transferred to Luke’s legal team to support ongoing case work. This means your contributions are already making a real impact where it matters most. After such an intense 30 days, we took a short breather (and we hope you’ll forgive how constant we were!). But reaching that initial goal was absolutely crucial — and now, we need to keep going. This case is complex and will take a lot of time and work. £20,000 was just the starting point, and the costs ahead will go well beyond that. Every donation, every share, and every message of support truly matters. Please keep spreading the word and contributing when you can — together, we can make a real difference. 🔗 Support the campaign on CrowdJustice → Donate ⬇️ crowdjustice.com/case/help-brin…

Tomorrow is the last day of our 30 day deadline. Thanks to you, we can now stay open for Luke longterm. Without you we wouldn’t have achieved this milestone, but because of your determination and generosity we can now move onto the next phase and the Legal team can get to work and I know that is happening as we speak. So far we have reached an incredible £21560 but we need to keep going. Can you guess what our total will be by the initial 30 day deadline which is 9am on Sunday?
