Not two
Not three.
NOT three that are one
God is not three
God is never three
He is the Father, the Word, and the Spirit.
The Father is the only God. Apart from Him, there is no other God.
The Word is the only God. Apart from Him, there is no other God.
The Spirit is the only God. Apart from Him, there is no other God.
The Father is the very same God as the Word and the Spirit.
And the Word is the same God as the Father and the Spirit.
And the Spirit is the same God as the Father and the Word.
Yet the Father is neither the Word nor the Spirit.
And the Word is neither the Father nor the Spirit.
And the Spirit is neither the Father nor the Word.
The Father and the Spirit can send the Word.
And the Father and the Word can send the Spirit.
Yet there is only one God.
He is not three that are one, but three in one, and one in three.
It is the same God, in three Persons; and three distinct Persons able to interrelate, yet the very same one Being.
God.
He is the only one I know who can speak to Chidi in Nasarawa about something and at the very same time speak with Barbara in Pretoria about something else, and to ten thousand people in different locations about ten thousand different things, at the same time.
God.
He is the only one I know who can be personally and fully present in every saint without dividing Himself and be in Heaven and on earth at the same time without multiplying Himself.
God.
Contrary to the saying that religion makes God is a mystery, I say, the day you understand God, you have failed.
That's the day you begin to misunderstand all things.
Mr. Brain can get to space and colonise Mars, but only faith in the heart may know that He is.
Contrary to the saying all the mysteries of God have been revealed in Christ taken to mean there is nothing further to be known of God, or sought, or desired, or pursued...I say, the day comes when we shall know as we are known, but here and now, we know in part and see through a glass darkly.
For there is nothing like theology; the "study of God".
Who is going to study God? Who may venture to even study the word? How is that going to happen?
Studying the word as though it were the object and you the scholar, is the cause of every known mental quagmire, dead knowledge, powerless religion known to the church age, even unto twisting of the word to heresy.
Attempting to study God is like attempting to shine some light on the sun. There you are with your candle trying to illuminate the sun!
Even the halogen laser extraodinare will not dare. How wise!
No, You don't shine light on the sun. You present yourself before it, that true Light which has come into the world, and that lights every man.
Present yourself before the word to be studied. Present yourself, and be illuminated.
It is living and active and sharper than any two edged sword, it divides asunder between soul and spirit, and joints and marrow, discerning the thoughts and intents of the heart; for nothing is hidden from the eyes of HIM with whom we have to do. Every detail of life becomes clear.
Present yourself. If it is THE word, you will be illuminated, and first you will tremble, you will weep, you will surrender; for it will do its work in you, and by its sharp edges, you will be circumcised in heart, reborn in spirit; and sanctified and edified, and given an eternal inheritance.
That's the true mark of 'studying the word'.
All else is playing Lego.
Rather than knowing Logos; the Lord; the Word.
For in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was
God.
