Why can't they just give him the crazy amount of garri they soaked for him to drink? It's obvious it's a waste. He can't even finish it.
If someone is trying to steal garri or bread, it says a lot about the level of suffering and hunger they're going through. Someone will try to steal bread, and people will spend over ₦1,000 on petrol just to burn the person.
The best approach is to sit the person down and ask, "Why are you stealing garri or bread?" The answer is almost obvious. Hunger.
