@knicksnutz @KnicksCentral It’s probably somewhat prevalent (non-capped teams have no incentive to do this). Pretty sure Kawhi’s uncle allegedly asked for special amenities like a private plane from teams during his FA negotiations. It’s just not a favorable look for the league.

@knicksnutz @KnicksCentral While you’re right, the CBA benefits teams to get players on under market deals, the easiest way to accommodate that is to pay them extra off-book. They’re implying looking deeper would uncover this illegal circumvention is exactly what enables the Knicks’s roster construction.

I’m not a moral victory guy, but what we saw from Tolle last night was more important than the outcome of the game. Kind of felt like a playoff game until the bullpen ruined it, and Roman is…yeah lol.

@titletownprod @RafaelaReport @tylermilliken_ He’s been used a bit more lately and today in particular involved a rushed warm-up with the timing of Rafaela’s HR. Pitch count obviously matters but he’s usually in full sweat before even leaving the bullpen. So every appearance wears him down a bit, even the short ones.

As a former little league pitcher, I’m going to oversimplify Bello’s season. Everyone wants to be a strikeout guy, organizations correctly want pitchers to be strikeout guys. They’ve found the happy medium between him pitching to contact, and being able to ramp it up for big k’s
